The first step in the sublimation printing process is actually the artwork. You need to use a high resolution digital image for sublimation because what you see is what you will get, for better or for worse. Sublimated prints will capture all of the details in your original image, even any pixelation, so you’ll want to make sure your designs are up to snuff for printing. The next step is to print the image out of a sublimation printer onto a heat transfer sheet. The sublimation printer contains heat reactive dyes that will sublimate later when heat pressed to the garment. Once you have the design on the transfer sheet you only need to position it onto the garment and heat press it for a brief period.

During the transfer the dyes will vaporize and become infused into the very fibers of the material you’re printing on. Since the dye is a part of the fabric after printing you won’t experience any cracking or peeling from your prints regardless of however many times you wash them or wear them.
