Michal Gembrowicz, our new UK & European Sales Manager, recently invited our CEO Neil Pentland to visit Adlogo Limited, a leading multi-decoration business and valued DecoNetwork client based in Overstone, Northamptonshire. As the former Print & Production Manager for Adlogo, Michal learned first-hand how to implement DecoNetwork into a growing print and embroidery business and discovered the meaningful difference it can make.
Adlogo’s Story
Like most decoration businesses, Adlogo came from humble beginnings. Nick and Phil set up the company 18 years ago with one heat-press and a small plotter. Having grown up in the print industry, Nick had always been passionate about it. They initially outsourced embroidery for corporate clothing to a big trade company and in order to increase margins, they invested in their first 6-head Brother embroidery machine.
As their business grew, they decided to expand their services with a DTG Printer which enabled them to print on demand.
The Problem
Running Adlogo became more and more time consuming for Nick and Phil as the number of orders grew. Their quoting and production management systems were very limited, time-intensive and basic. This made it very inefficient and difficult for an employee to complete a customer order; they had to manually create a proof, make changes and follow up before getting approval. Their order turnaround time was at 5 working days, but their vision was to offer a much faster turnaround.
The Strategy
The directors of Adlogo Limited have always been committed to staying up-to-date with information on new machinery and solutions for e-commerce. Nick saw an article about DecoNetwork in one of the printing industry magazines and decided it was time to sign up and take their business to the next level.
Nick and Phil were investing so much time and energy in getting the orders out the door, they had no time to set up DecoNetwork properly. They needed help, fast!
The Solution
Nick and Phil employed Michal, who made it his mission to set up DecoNetwork and streamline their business. The quoting, artwork and production tools transformed their business and drastically reduced production times – so much so that they were able to offer 48-hour service to their customers! Due to their improved service and an ability to offer express order turnaround, big brands such as Nike, Mercedes & Google started to take notice, using Adlogo for their promotional products.
Nick and Phil now employ 8 staff, run 2 new embroidery machines and 3 DTG printers, and have recently added a screen printing department. After 18 years of hard work and dedication in the business, Nick and Phil are now looking forward to their next chapter. They have achieved what we all hope to do in entrepreneurship: build a successful business that can pave the way for an enjoyable retirement.
