lean in: an ever-softening gap is an immersive installation by Kayla Seedig that guides viewers to consider stability, comfort, surveillance, and the space in-between to generate compassion and awareness external to their own experiences. The ever-softening gap refers to a gender spectrum that houses flexible and vast spaces yet-to-be-determined that are buoyant and resilient; secure yet porous.
