With screen printing comes the fundamental need of a screen printing press, and a method of curing the print. We are extremely excited to be partnering with BBC on the Ryonet Vesta. This forced air conveyer dryer is perfect for curing water based, plastisol, and Direct-to-Garment prints. If you want to learn more about the ins and outs of the Ryonet Vesta Electric Forced Air Conveyor Dryer, check out the blog below.
Heating:
The Ryonet Vesta comes equipped with long wave infrared heating technology. It is is ideal for natural fibers and blended garments because the long wave infrared waves are much more easily absorbed by the garments rather than being reflected with technology utilizing short or mid-length infrared waves.
This conveyer dryer comes with a heating bank designed to exceed the width of the heating belt. While the heating belt is 36″, the heating bank is 40″. This extra length of the bank exceeding the belt helps eliminate edge loss, which can be a real pain with other technology. The extra width paired with BBC’s proprietary watt density algorithm provides one of the most even cures available in a conveyer dryer today.
There are two digital heating zones included in the Ryonet Vesta. The first zone is a flash zone. This zone quickly brings the print up to temp before it has moved onto the second zone. The Vesta’s second zone maintains the temperature, and fully cures the print to desired specification. These two zones combine to make a curing solution that is both precise and accurate.
Speed Control and Auto Shut-Off
The Ryonet Vesta also comes equipped with digital speed controls and an auto shut-off. The digital speed control gives the printer the real time control in chamber, which allows for more consistent results. The auto-shut off allows the printer to shut off the oven and walk away. While the dryer is cooling down the Vesta will continue to cycle the belt. This greatly reduces the amount of wear and tear on the belt that results from overheating.
The Use of Fresh Air:
One of the coolest features of this conveyor dryer is the use of fresh air. Instead of using humid recirculated air, the Vesta brings in fresh air from the outside environment. The use of fresh air reduces the risk of rusting that can accumulate in other dryer technology. The air is first brought into the main chamber and in this process it cools the outside of the dryer. The vesta then properly heats the air to allow for a drop in the relative humidity. This drop allows for more moisture to be picked up from the printed garment and in turn creates a more effective and accurate cure. The Vesta’s powered exhaust ensures the proper pull through of air, mitigating the risk of humid air being trapped, which is a cure consistency issue in other technology.
