So let’s talk about the process and you’ll see why dye sublimation is so popular.  First you take digital artwork and print it out of a sublimation printer onto a heat transfer sheet.  The printer will perfectly reproduce the full artwork using special heat reactive dyes that are formulated to sublimate (convert from a solid into a gas) when heated.  Once the print has been administered to the transfer sheet you can then take the sheet and heat press it against the blank garment.  During the time in the heat press the heat causes the dyes to sublimate and the pressure forces the dyes to bind with the fibers of the garment permanently.
