STUDENT PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS SEPTEMBER 9 / UNION BALLROOM 385

PUBLIC ART 101 10AM - 12PM 
Norie Sato, a Seattle-based artist whose work is displayed across the nation, including in the UNT Student Union, will lead a workshop on the ins and outs of public art from the artist's perspective. Topics include how to translate studio practice into a public arena, how to find and apply for public art commissions, and what it takes to realize public works of art. These topics are relevant not only for artists, but also those who have interest in managing public art programs. 

GRANT WRITING 101 1PM - 3PM 
CVAD arts professionals will share the how-tos of identifying and applying for grants and other funding to support your projects.
