So the dye sublimation process is a method of customizing garments that uses heat reactive dyes to apply the artwork to the fabric. How it works is a sublimation printer is loaded with these dyes and it digitally prints out the artwork, in full color and detail, onto a heat transfer sheet. The transfer sheet is then placed onto the blank garment in preparation for the transfer. To enable the transfer, the transfer sheet and garment are put into a sublimation press which will administer high heat and pressure for a brief period. The dyes on the sheet will convert from a solid into a gas, which is known as sublimation, and the pressure will cause the dyes to bind with the material permanently.

Regardless of how many times you wash it, it won’t crack or peel off, so it’s there for the long-haul!
