Gold Foil

Gold Foil

There are a few different ways to do Gold Foil logos on clothing. In this article I will explain to you the different ways to apply Gold Foil and which may be better than the others and why.

The first way to apply Gold Foil would be screen print heat applied Gold Foil. With this way of doing Gold Foil printing it is very strong and will hold up over time. In order for this process to work we use a specific adhesive ink that we screen print onto the garment and then we would heat apply the actual Gold Foil which activates the adhesive and allows the Gold Foil to stick to only the adhesive.

Another way is vinyl Gold Foil. With vinyl Gold Foil you can do smaller quantities but this will not last as long as the screen print heat applied Gold Foil. This tends to crack over time and it is much heavier than other Gold Foils.

Another way is plastisol Gold Foil. This is a basic plastisol ink that is metallic so it looks like Gold Foil but sometimes when you choose to do your Gold Foil this way it is not as shiny as it would be if you chose to do one of the other two types of Gold Foil printing.

What AMBRO Manufacturing would recommend to you if you are looking to get some Gold Foil printing done is to go with screen print heat applied Gold Foil. This method will give you exactly what you are looking for and will hold up for much longer. And we believe you will love it that much more. AMBRO Manufacturing can also help you out with any Gold Foil printing need you may have.
