Filled with delicious character illustrations and curate projects, Joe Leiner recently launched the first issue of Dust Catcher, an independent print magazine about contemporary character design, illustration and collectibles. Sporting a translucent dust jacket with black hot foil embossing and 96 ad-free, saddle-stitched pages, Dust Catcher takes a look the creators’ favourite makers, ranging from illustrators and painters to sculptors, toy designers and manufacturers.
Aimed at collectors and lovers of characters, the magazine features interviews with creatives who produce physical work bringing their creature characters to life in some form or another. Dust Catcher aims to capture the passion, imagination and passion behind these creations, becoming its own kind of collectible – a dust catcher.
The first issue includes interviews with Acne JR, Case Studyo, Cleon Peterson, Elegab, Hedof, Irma Gruenholz, Joakim Ojanen, Pepe Hiller, Troy Coulterman and Zebu.
