ACVOL: Winter Skin Care

With winter weather turning into spring, the celebration of “spring break” and the official first day of spring being celebrated last week, what better time to follow-up on the Physical Wellbeing challenge for February-March “Winter Skin Care for Your Entire Body.” Take a moment or two to peruse one of the articles below or start implementing one of the tips (if you haven’t checked out Plant Nanny, you’re missing out!) I also polled a few Sisters to find out about their favorite body products. The list is below! I hope you enjoy checking out these articles and tips as well as considering purchasing one of these products to try.

To get your wheels turning:

Try one of these tips today!:

  • Drink plenty of water (try the app Plant Nanny for some encouragement)
  • Get a pedicure throughout the entire year to keep the skin on your feet hydrated (and a little bit of personal pampering is certainly good for your Wellbeing!)
  • Use cuticle cream

Products to pamper your body:

  • MicroFiber body towels from Norwex (a company that does not use chemicals)
  • Double Cleanse: For a unique and effective nighttime facial cleansing
  • Wild Rose Beauty Balm: This balm can be used in 3 ways - as a deep nourishing balm for dry skin, for simple cleansing and exfoliating, or as part of a full facial treatment to decongest and enrich the skin
  • Curel Daily Healing Lotion: claims to provide 24-hour moisture! A great option to throw in your purse or keep on your desk
  • 60-Second Manicure Hand Scrub: from Bath and Body Works, this little gem can give your hands a quick up-lift when you may not have time to swing by the nail salon for a manicure.
  • Charcoal Cleansing Bar: for your face and body, this product detoxifies and absorbs impurities in your skin without drying it out.
  • Brommer Casticle Soap: the all-in-one cleanser. For you, for your children, for your pets…and even for your dishes.  Sound to good to be true? Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!  Better yet, this product can be found at many retailers including Target.

You may be satisfied with your beauty routine, but consider some of these options as gifts for new grads, new moms, a Mothers’ Day basket, teacher appreciation and of course birthdays! Who doesn’t love a little something new to pamper themselves?! Physical Wellbeing is an important area! Learn more and complete the challenge (it’ll only take you a few minutes); you have until April 5th!

As always, any advice, recommendations, tips and products should be utilized at your own discretion and any lifestyle changes should be addressed first by a medical professional.
