Since being originally founded in 2004 by three friends, UK-based graphic design studio Intercity has built a strong network of collaborators from the worlds of art, design, illustration, photography, digital media and beyond. Over the past thirteen years the studio has applied its highly creative and considered approach across a range of areas including editorial, branding, music, fashion and advertising. In addition to their expertise in graphic design, Intercity also specialises in curatorial and art-based work, including live art projects.
Their latest design project comes in the form of a 192 page, paperback publication, and has seen the studio collaborate with freelance writer and editor Josh Sims, and Laurence King Publishing, to bring ‘Men of Style’ to our book shelves.
‘Men of Style’ explores the best-dressed men of recent centuries and explains how they have shaped menswear today: from actors to statesmen, playboys to painters, the iconic to the more unexpected. Intercity’s design and composition certainly represents the stylish content of the publication, which has been printed on uncoated off-white stock, and features a timeless metallic gold foil-blocking on the dust-jacket.
If you have ever shown any interest in fashion history, male style or clothing then this is an ideal book for you.
