So, what exactly is Direct to Garment printing?!
You might be under the impression that you need X amount of shirts to be able to print anything. And, you might not need X amount of shirts, instead you’re looking for 1 shirt, maybe 2 if you’re feeling good about the design. Most screen print companies will give you the talk about how you need to increase the quantity of shirts to use their services. If they are giving you this talk, more than likely they are talking about Silk Screening your shirts. That’s a great service to offer, and pretty popular among most screen printing companies, but Elosh Clothing does it a little differently. Do you only want 1 shirt printed? That’s okay! Do you have a special event coming up and need 100 shirts!? We can do that too! Elosh Clothing specializes in a service called Direct to Garment Printing. So, what exactly is Direct to Garment Printing?!
D2G stands for Direct to Garment,
and basically it’s a really cool, modified printer. Think of your basic inkjet printer, printing on paper. But instead, it’s actually a pretty big printer, and it’s formatted to print on t-shirts instead. The ink soaks into the t-shirt, so there’s no worrying about cracking or having the picture dissolve away. It’s as simple as taking a picture, or designing a graphic, saving it as a transparent PNG, and sending it to the printer to print! There are, of course, more steps to D2G printing, but that’s the basic! Any colors, multiple colors, thousands of colors, you name it and we can print it.
You could be asking, “So why DO you guys do D2G instead of silkscreen or embroider?” That is a great question, because both silkscreening and embroidery are great services to offer. But that’s also what makes us different from the rest, right? We have amazing turnaround time, we’ve partnered with many businesses to work with them on getting shirts, and we are feeling good about our business. D2G takes less time to print, therefore we can print several jobs in one day’s time in the amount of time it takes to set up silkscreen. The quality looks the same as a normal print job and you can order, then pickup your order within the next day.
If you’re still interested in learning about D2G, please let us know! We would love to hear from you and work with you on your next project. We are good at our job, and we can prove that to you! If you want fast turnaround time, with great quality and a hardworking team, email us or call us and we can set something up!
