Eva Stalinski

Dutch illustrator, screen printer and dog enthusiast is how Eva Stalinski, the print maker and illustrator hailing from the Netherlands defines herself. Creating bold and beautiful works, Stalinski communicates her playful aesthetic through her instantly recognisable and joyous graphics, similar to a contemporary interpretation of pop art. Adorning everything from prints to apparel, Stalinski’s motifs offer an adorable personification as she infuses identity into her illustrated inanimate objects, decorating each in a vibrant and abstract fashion.

Graduating from the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen in 2015, Stalinski won the school’s design award for her graduation project, the project being a comic book of three fairytales remixed into a new narrative. The award financed her home screen printing studio, resulting in the whimsical works Stalinski now produces, further emphasised by her love of screen printing, initially realised in 2010 during her first year of art school.

Feeling most inspired when walking her dog as her mind roams free, Stalinski also states Kitiya Palaskas, Heidi Kenney, Floor Rieder, BLEXBOLEX and Henning Wagenbreth as major influences, as each embed vivid and playful elements into their contrasting creations.
