Following the acclaimed first show held in 2014, the second Cambridge Original Printmakers exhibition will once again be held at the Pitt Building in Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1RP, from Thursday 22 September until Wednesday 28 September 2016. Cambridge Original Printmakers is a wonderful independent event that aims to celebrate, educate and promote hand-made original printmaking within the Cambridgeshire area. Cambridge is a small city known for its academic excellence however it is also steeped in artists who specialise in printmaking.
The 2016 exhibition will have 39 individual printmakers who specialize in hand-pulled, original work. MA students from Anglia Ruskin University; The Print Studio Print House who edition Artists’ work; St Barnabas Press, an open access and editioning studio and The Curwen Print Study Centre, an educational charity will also be exhibiting. Exciting keynote talks will be taking place throughout the weekend days including Angie Lewin and Neil Bousfield as well as other prominent Printmakers. During the weekdays, there will be print demonstrations and workshops, where you can find out about different printmaking techniques that perhaps you have never encountered before.
