Sublimation Shirt Printing
Essentially, dye sublimation works like a heat transfer, but that’s where the similarities end. What happens is the artwork is printed out from a sublimation printer onto a sheet of het resistant paper. The dye used in the printer is specially formulated to vaporize when under high heat and pressure. The print out is laid onto the fabric to be printed and both are put into a sublimation press. During the brief time in the press, the dye is released from the sheet and absorbed into the garment below. This process embeds the dye into the actual garment itself so you won’t be able to feel the print from the fabric of the shirt. And because the dye isn’t on the surface like with screen printing, you won’t experience any cracking or peeling during the lifetime of the garment.
