Dye sublimation is a process of custom garment decoration that uses a special sublimation printer to print out the artwork. The printer uses an ink that is heat reactive to print the image onto a heat resistant sheet of paper and then the print out is placed onto the blank garment. A sublimation press puts heat and pressure onto the paper and the dye on the sheet is turned into a gas and absorbed by the material to lock in the print.
Custom sublimated T shirts will hold their print beautifully for the lifetime of the garment. You won’t see cracking or peeling from sublimated prints because the dye is embedded into the fibers of the material permanently.
