Nokia N900 State of Art Enabled Phone

Nokia N900 is a truly remarkable phone which would put any phone out there in the market to shame due to its attractive looks, state of the art technology and user friendly interface to gel both of these factors. Similar to the N800 Internet Tablet Phone, N900 is superior and better looking too. The phone is compact and comes in a single black colour with an elegant style and classy finishing. The display screen is the best part of this gadget since its in a good size which would allow you to surf the Internet, view movies/videos, see images etc. in fantastic resolution. There are no buttons on the display to form any clutter or eat away into crucial display space. All of the functions of the phone can be accessed and navigation be done using the touch display.

The device is quadband in nature for its 2G services and its 3G services are dependent on the area of operation as 3G services are not employed everywhere. It measures 110.9 millimeters in height, 59.8 millimeters in width and 18 millimeters in depth. These values justify the phone’s long body and compactness in terms of its depth. Although it comes at a rather heavy 181 grams which would feel like a load to carry in your pocket but if you’re ready to do that much for latest technology and don’t put your phone in your pocket then this is the device for you. The screen measures 3.5 inches or 800 X 480 pixels and can display 16 million colours. As mentioned before, it has a TFT resistive touchscreen for usage. Proximity sensor for auto turn off and accelerometer sensor for auto rotate are the features which raise the quality of the display screen.

Phone has fantastic sound quality where call alerts can be set up in MP3, AAC, eAAC, WMA, M4A format along with vibration. One can even put a call on speakerphone mode where he/she doesn’t have to hold the phone while talking and the sound is easily audible to yourself and to other party as well. This speaker quality is in stereo output so its very clear. There is support for 3.5 millimeter audio jack as well allowing you to plug in your earphones even when the phone is charging. There is also a separate music player which supports popular formats of MP3, WMA, WAV,AAC,M4A and eAAC+. An individual can also enjoy listening to broadcast frequency using the Stereo FM Radio (provided by a third party) and channel it to a sound device using an internal FM Transmitter. N900 would work on a newly developed Maemo 5 operating system. It would have a ARM Cortex A8 processor with the speed of 600MHz. A dedicated processor for graphics is also present called the PwoerVR SGX Graphics. In built memory is of 32GB with a 256MB RAM and external storage of a maximum 16GB using a microSD card. This memory storage would be used to store various kinds of media along with practically unlimited number of phone book entries and call record of up to 30 days.

Camera is the best part of this device. It has a 5 megapixel camera (2592 X 1944 pixels) with 3x digital zoom, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Dual LED flash and video light to optimally use its imaging functionality in producing outstanding still photography. It has a CMOS sensor and Tessar lens for better quality. One can click pictures in its huge screen mode too using the full screen viewfinder which would click a wider shot. The image thus captured can be modified using the image editor and various other modes. Videos are recorded in WVGA format at 25 frames per second. There is a secondary camera in the front which can record videos and engage you in a video call in VGA quality.
